Profile:

I obtained my B.Sc-IT and B.Sc-IT(Hons) at the University of Johannesburg in 2010. In 2012 I fulfilled all requirements for a MPhil with Cum Laude in Electrical and Electronic Engineering on the topic “NIFT: Noise Invariant Feature Transform”. I am currently in the examination stage of my DPhil in Electrical and Electronic Engineering on the topic “Super features: a probabilistic approach to feature matching and correction”. I am currently employed at the University of Johannesburg as a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Science where I teach Advance Modelling 3A and Computer Systems 3B. I was previously employed at Resolution Circle as a Research and Development Specialist and worked at Highquest as a Software Developer, a company specialising in the development of real-time image and stream processing applications.

As a member of the Hypervision Research lab my current research areas are Feature Detection, Biometrics, Photogrammetry and Machine Learning. I also have an active interest in Computer Graphics, Ray-tracing and Computational  Intelligence.
